Kalabis & Martinů & Janáček – Dobrohoř Castle

The evening is conceived as a dialogue between three prominent figures of 20th-century Czech music – Viktor Kalabis, who has close ties to the Jindřichův Hradec region, Leoš Janáček, and Bohuslav Martinů. The focus is on the dramatic contrast between the expressive sonatas of Janáček and Kalabis and song cycles drawing on folk inspiration.
